How to Add a Person in People

Before You Begin

  • You must have the necessary permissions to access and modify the People database.
  • To ensure easier searching, consider adding a middle initial or nickname if you have multiple people with the same name.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1.  Click the People tab from the top left navigation.

2.  Click the Add Person button on the right.     

3.  Enter the new person's details into the fields. 

  • Optional: To customize the data fields shown, Select Specify Display Fields at the top, Toggle fields on/off, and Select  < Back. 

4.  Select the appropriate process:

  • Adding a Single Person: Ensure New Person is selected at the top. Uncheck the 'Continue Adding People' box (optional). Select Add.

Adding a Family Member: Select + Family Member at the top of the modal.

5.  Connect the new person to a family. 

  • New Family: Select the option to add another new person (if no family members exist in the database).
  • Existing Family: Select the option to add a new person to an existing member. Search for the family member to connect, Select the profile, and Select Add Family Member.

6.  Select a Household Role (e.g., Head of Household, Spouse, Child) for each user in the new connection.

7.  Select Add to save all changes.


Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • How do I stay in the 'Add Person' modal to enter multiple people quickly? Check the Continue Adding People checkbox (found in Step 3) before selecting Add.
  • I need to remove a field (like 'Birthday') from the entry form: Select Specify Display Fields, Toggle the unwanted field box off, and Select < Back to update the form.
