Add a News Post on Sites

Before You Begin

  • You must have the necessary permissions to access and modify Sites content.
  • Have the Title, Subtitle, Body content, and any relevant media/files ready for upload.
  • Determine the preferred Author and any associated Ministries for the post.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1.  Click on Sites from your main navigation menu. 

2.  Click the + News Post button (under 'Quick Add' in the left menu) or Add News Post (under Content > News).      

3.  Enter the main title and brief subtitle into the Title and Subtitle fields.

4.  Select the appropriate Author and any related Ministries from the dropdown menus. [This determines the post's visibility on ministry pages.]

5.  Enter the main content of your post into the Body field.

6.  Upload relevant images, Enter a Video URL (YouTube or Facebook), and Add any File Downloads.

7.  Select the desired placement by checking the boxes in the Placement section. [Options include News Page, Blocks, or Site Wide Alert.]

8.  Set the desired Published Date and Check the Published box to make the post live.

9.  Click the Save News Post button.


Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • How long will my post appear in the News Block? News posts will automatically display in the News Block for 90 days after the published date.
  • How do I save a post without making it visible immediately? Leave the Published checkbox unchecked. This saves the post as a draft that you can return to later.
