Unpublish a News Post on Sites

Before You Begin

  • You must have the necessary permissions to access and modify Sites content.
  • Know the Title of the specific news post you need to unpublish or edit.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1.  Click on Sites from your main navigation menu. 

2.  Click Content, then Select the News section.     

3.  Locate the post, Click the More menu (three dots (...)) on the right, and Select Edit. [This opens the news post details form.]

4.  Scroll to the bottom of the form and Uncheck the Published checkbox. [This will immediately remove the post from your live site.]

5.  Click the Save News Post button.

  • How do I find a news post I saved as a draft?
    • Go to Content > News.
    • Use the filter dropdown within the News section to Select Unpublished News.
  • How do I make a saved draft post live?
    • Edit the post (Steps 1-3).
    • Check the Published checkbox (found right above the 'Save News Post' button).
    • Click Save News Post.

If your news post is still being drafted and you don't want it live on the site yet, you can uncheck the 'Published' checkbox (found right above the 'Save News Post' button). When you're ready to share the news post with everyone and make it visible on the site, just recheck the 'Published' box and save your news post.

To find unpublished news posts, click on Content > News Use the filter dropdown to select Unpublished News.
