How to Edit Page Settings in Sites

Summary: This guide explains how to update the core settings of a page on your website, such as the page title, featured image, URL slug, and publish status.

Before You Begin

  • Important Distinction: This guide covers editing Page Settings, not the visual content on the page. The content itself (text, videos, layout) is managed through Blocks and is edited separately.

  • Permissions: You must be logged into your Tithely Sites admin dashboard to perform these actions.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Option 1: Editing Directly from the Page View

Use this method if you are already viewing the specific page you want to update.

  1. Navigate to the specific page on your website that you wish to edit.

  2. Click the Edit Page dropdown menu located at the top left of the screen.

  3. Select Edit Page from the dropdown options.

  4. Update the necessary information in the page details form (e.g., Title, Publish Status, Social Image).

  5. Click the Save Page button to apply your changes.

Option 2: Editing from the Admin Dashboard

Use this method if you want to see a list of all your pages and select one to edit.

  1. Log in to your Tithely account and select Sites.

  2. Click on Content in the left-hand navigation menu, then select Pages.

  3. Find the page you wish to edit in the list.

  4. Hover your mouse over the page row. A 'More' menu (three dots ...) will appear on the right side.

  5. Click the three dots (...) and select Edit Page.

  6. Update your page details in the form.

  7. Click the Save Page button to apply your changes.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • I'm trying to change the text on the page, but I don't see it here. You are likely in the Page Settings menu. To edit the actual text, photos, or layout on the page, you need to edit the specific Content Block. Navigate to the page and look for the small pencil icons on the specific sections you want to change.

  • How do I delete a page? Follow the steps in Option 2 (Editing from the Admin Dashboard). When you click the three dots (...) next to the page, select Delete instead of Edit.
