Add a Blog Post to Sites

Before You Begin

  • You must have the necessary permissions to access and modify Sites Blog content.

  • Prepare the Title, Subtitle, and Body content for your post.

  • Decide which Author and Program (if any) to associate with the post.


Step-by-Step Instructions

 

1.  Navigate to your Sites section. [You can start the post via + Blog Post (Quick Add), Add Blog Post (Content > Blog), or via the Edit Page dropdown on the Blog page.]

2.  Enter the main title and brief subtitle into the Title and Subtitle fields.     

3.  Select an Author and Associate the post with a Program (optional).

4.  Enter the main content of your post into the provided text editor in the Content Details section.

5.  Upload an image, Add a video URL, and/or Add any downloadable files in the Add Media section.

6.  Add relevant Tags (if using) and Set the desired Placement Options (Blog Page or Blog Blocks).

7.  Set a Publish Date and Check the Published box to make the post live.

8.  Click the Create Blog Post button.

9.  Customize the post's appearance by Clicking the + button on the post page and Selecting content blocks (e.g., text, photo, gallery).


Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • My new blog post isn't appearing on the main blog page: When creating the post, ensure the option to display the blog post on the main blog page is checked in the Placement Options.

  • How do I show the post content on a different page? Go to the page where you want the content, click the + to add a block, and select the Blog block option.
