Summary: This guide explains how to set a consistent default header style and background image across your Sites website, applying these settings to all pages that have not been individually customized.
Before You Begin
- You must have Admin permissions to access Sites > Design settings.
- Ensure your Site Colors are already set, as the header colors are pulled from that palette.
- Have high-quality Default Images ready to upload for use in headers.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Click on Sites from your main navigation menu.
2. Select Design from the left menu, and then Header.
3. Select your preferred header layout from the available options.
4. Set your preferred color settings. [Colors are pulled from your site's color palette.]
5. Click the Save Header button.
6. Click Default Images from the left menu, then Click Add Default Image.
7. Upload the desired image and Set the Image Type/Location to Header.
8. Click Save Default Image.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
- My header colors are wrong: Navigate to Sites > Design > Colors and ensure your Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colors are set correctly, as the header colors are dependent on the global site color settings.
- Why is a random image appearing in my header instead of the one I just set? Check if you have Global Default Images set. If you do, the system will use the Header-specific default images over the Global images.
- How do I change the header on just my homepage? Navigate to the homepage, Click the Edit Header option, and apply your custom settings there. Individual page settings override the defaults.
