How to Add A Family Member to an Existing Profile

As your church grows it is natutural that individuals bring family, get married, or have kids. In these cases you can add these new members to your People account and connect the family members using the Family tool in People. 

Starting Steps

  1. Select People.
  2. Search and select the user you would like to connect a family member to.
  3. Hover over the grey bar with the title Family.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Select to:
    • Create Person 
      Note: Select this is you have not already added the new family member to People.
    • Existing Person
      Note: Select this if the person you are connecting to already exists in People.

Adding a Family Member by Creating a New Person

  1. Select Create a Person.
  2. Enter their details.
    Note: You can add more fields by toggling Displayed Fields on or off. 
  3. Select Add to Family when details are added.
  4. Use the drop down under each name to assign Family Positions. (Optional)
  5. If you would like to add more familiy members select Add Family Member again. (Optional)
  6. If you would like to add a family photo select Add Family Photo (Optional)
  7. Select Save to confirm changes. 
    Note: This will show in all families profile.

Adding a Family Member by Connecting an Existing Person

  1. Select Existing Person.
  2. Search for an individual or family unit.
  3. Select the individual or family unit you would like to connect this person to.
    Note: You can add multiple people or units at once by selecting more. 
  4. Select Add to Family.
  5. Use the drop down under each name to assign Family Positions. (Optional)
  6. If you would like to add more familiy members select Add Family Member again. (Optional)
  7. If you would like to add a family photo select Add Family Photo (Optional)
  8. Select Save to confirm changes. 
    Note: This will show in all families profile.
