Editing and Canceling a Scheduled Newsletter in Sites

Summary: This guide walks you through the necessary steps to cancel a scheduled newsletter (which moves it to draft mode) and the subsequent process of editing the content before rescheduling the updated newsletter for a new send date.


Before You Begin

  • You must have the necessary permissions to access Sites and Newsletters.
  • Important: You must cancel the scheduled newsletter before you can make any edits.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1.  Click on Sites from your main navigation.

2.  Select Newsletters from the left menu.     

3.  Locate the scheduled newsletter you want to edit.

4.  Click Cancel next to the newsletter and Click OK in the confirmation prompt. [This puts the newsletter into draft mode.]

5.  Make the desired edits to the newsletter content.

6.  Click the Schedule button at the bottom of the page.

7.  Confirm the email subject, send date/time, 'Send From' email, and subscription list(s).

8.  Click the Schedule Newsletter to Send button to finalize the update.


Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Can I directly edit a newsletter while it is scheduled? No, you cannot directly edit a newsletter while it is in the scheduled status. You must first cancel it (Step 4) to put it into draft mode.
  • What happens to the newsletter after I click Cancel? Once canceled, the newsletter is put into draft mode, allowing you to access and edit the content before rescheduling it.
