Understanding & Matching Page Layout IDs
When you create a new layout, the system automatically generates a new tab for it. Because many users do not rename these new layouts, it can cause confusion. To ensure your app navigation works perfectly, you must verify your Page Layout IDs.
Find the Page Layout ID. Hover your mouse over the page layout box on any active or addable page layout tab. (Note: This ID is NOT visible in the general "addable tabs" menu; you must hover over the specific layout tab itself).
Match the ID. Verify that the ID you see hovering over the tab exactly matches the ID of the Layout you are currently editing in the Layout Editor.
Follow the Best Practice. When switching to a new layout on your app's menu, always swap out the actual Page Layout tab itself. Do not just change the link inside your existing, old page layout tab, as this causes routing conflicts and confusion.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Do I need to contact Tithely to update my home screen? No. With the Layout Editor, you can update your app's home screen quickly and easily yourself without having to schedule edits with our support team.
Can I link layouts together? Yes! You can create a new layout and connect it to your current home screen to add more depth, folders, and content to your app.
Why is my new layout not showing up on the app menu? Double-check your Page Layout IDs. You likely edited a new layout but left the old Page Layout tab active on your app's menu. Ensure you add the newly generated tab (with the matching ID) to your active tabs list.
