Understanding the Sections Within an Event
Once an event is created, you can manage it using these sections:
- Overview: Provides a quick snapshot of attendance data and trends.
- Attenders: Lists everyone who checked in and who was eligible to attend but did not. You can apply filters such as People status to narrow your list and take action using the Action Panel.
- Reports: Allows you to generate detailed attendance reports by event, date, or individual. Learn more in these articles: Using Attendance Report Filters and Creating Attendance Reports.
- Check-In: Opens the Check-In portal for the event in a new tab. Learn more about check-in setup in Using the Settings in Check-In.
- Alerts: Notifies you when someone has missed a set number of events. Learn more about setting alerts in Finding People Who Have Missed Events.
- Volunteers: Helps you assign, manage, and send reminders to volunteers serving at the event. You can Invite Volunteers to Sign Up, Assign Volunteers, and Customize Volunteer Reminders. Learn more in the Volunteer Management article.
- Settings: Allows you to edit all the core details of the event, like its time, location, and description. For a detailed walkthrough, see the Editing Event Settings article.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
-
What is the difference between the delete options?
- Delete Event: Removes only the single event you are currently viewing.
- Delete Series: Removes all events in the series—past, present, and future.
- Delete Future: Removes the current event and all future events in the series, but keeps past events.
- How can I organize events for different ministries (e.g., Youth Group, Women's Bible Study)? You can create multiple calendars to organize events by ministry area or audience. This allows you to control permissions and what is displayed publicly.
