Before You Begin

  • If you get stuck or would prefer to have us import your data (at no additional cost), don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.
  • Crucial: Keep the first row (column headers) of the Tithely template file intact.
  • All exported BCMB files must be saved as a .CSV file type before uploading to Tithely.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Exporting Data from BCMB (Three Reports)

  1. First Report (Contact Report):
    • Navigate to Reports and select Contact Report.
    • Set these filters: Contact Type: All, Report Contents: All, Individuals/Organizations: All, Attributes: All.
    • Leave unchecked: Have an Address, Choose Address.
    • Output Format: .XLS.
    • Click Find.
  2. Second Report (Staff/License Info):
    • Navigate to Reports and choose the Staff Contact and License Info Report.
    • Use the default filters.
    • Click Find.
  3. Third Report (Other Organizations):
    • Navigate to Reports and select Other Organizations Report.
    • Set these filters: Report Contents: Defaults, Filter by Position: Check All.
    • Output Format: XLS.
    • Click Find.

 

Importing Data into Tithely

  1. Sign in to your Tithely account and Click the User and Organization Settings button.
  2. Select Bulk Tasks from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click the category on the left that you'd like to import (e.g., People, Tags).
  4. Download the template file and Remove the sample data.
  5. Populate the template file by copying and pasting applicable columns from your BCMB exported file(s). Important: Keep the first row (column headers) intact.
  6. Save the file as a .CSV file type.
  7. Use the same screen to upload your file to complete the import.
