How to Export Data from Planning Center and Import into Tithely

Summary: This guide provides step-by-step instructions for exporting your People, Giving, and Song data from Planning Center Online (PCO) and importing it into your Tithely account.


Before You Begin

  • You must have access to your Planning Center Online account.

  • You must have Administrator access to your Tithely account.

  • Important: Importing Giving data is a free service handled by our Move-In team. You will need to export the data and then submit it to them using the form linked below.


Step 1: Export People from Planning Center

  1. Navigate to Accounts and select People.

  2. Click the Gear Icon and select 'Export People'.

  3. Click the 'Generate & Send CSV' button. The export file will be sent to the email address on file for your PCO account.

 

Step 2: Export Giving from Planning Center

  1. Navigate to the Giving section.

  2. Click 'By Donations'.

  3. Select and set your desired Date Range.

  4. Click Export and download the CSV file.

 

Step 3: Import People into Tithely

  1. Click the User and Organization Settings icon u&o icon.pngin the top right corner of your Tithely dashboard.
  2. Select Bulk Tasks from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click the People category on the left.

  4. Download the template file and open it.

  5. Copy the data from your PCO People export and paste it into the appropriate columns in the template. Do not delete the first row (column headers).

  6. Save the populated template as a .CSV file.

  7. Return to the Bulk Tasks screen and upload your saved .CSV file to complete the import.

  • How do I export my Songs? For the most current instructions, please refer to Planning Center's . It is essential to ensure you have the necessary copyrights and licenses before importing any song data into Tithely.
