Viewing and Updating the Credit Card Used for Subscriptions

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged in as an Account Owner or Admin to access the Billing section.
  • Payment Method: Tithely subscriptions currently accept credit or debit cards only (no checks or ACH/bank transfers).
  • Proration: Charges are prorated when switching from one paid subscription to another mid-cycle (upgrading or downgrading).
  • Important: Payment Failure Warning Should your payment method expire or fail to process, our system will automatically retry the charge up to 8 times over the subsequent two weeks. If the payment cannot be secured by the end of this period, your subscription will be canceled. 

Step-by-Step Instructions

Viewing and Updating the Credit Card Used for Subscriptions

1.  Log in to your Tithely account.

2.  Click the Global Settings button in the top-right corner of the screen.

3.  Next, click Billing.

4.  Click the Change Card button at the top right-hand side of the screen in the Payment Method box. [The highlighted card is the one currently setup for subscriptions.]

Update the Credit Card on File

1.  On the Payment Method screen, select New Credit Card.

2.  Enter your new card information and click Add Card.

* Note: The newly added card will be set as the default payment method unless you unselect the checkbox.

Understanding Prorated Charges (Mid-Cycle Plan Switch)

When you upgrade or downgrade a subscription mid-cycle, Tithely applies proportional charges and credits:

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • I only want to add a card for future use, not change my current billing card: When adding a new card, unselect the box for setting it as the default payment method.
  • I see a message saying "Thank you for subscribing" after just updating my card: You can generally ignore this message unless you intentionally added a new subscription to your account.
  • I need to pay using a check: Tithely subscriptions do not accept payments via checks or ACH/bank transfers; you must use a credit or debit card.
  • What happens if my card expires?
