Bulk Assigning or Un-Assigning Tags

Before You Begin

  • The Action Panel is the tool used to perform bulk actions on a list of filtered people.
  • All bulk actions begin by selecting the people you want to affect.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Bulk Assigning Tags

1.  Log into your Tithely account and go to the "People" section.

2.  Select the people you want to assign a tag to (by selecting individuals, using filters, or using saved filters).

3.  Click "Assign to Tags" in the Action Panel.     

4.  Select the tag(s) you want to assign from the list. [A window will confirm the number of people who will be affected.]

5.  Click the "Assign X People" button to apply the tag.

Bulk Un-assigning Tags

1.  Log into your Tithely account and go to the "People" section.

2.  Select the people you want to un-assign a tag from (by selecting individuals, using filters, or using saved filters).

3.  Click "More Actions" and choose "Remove from Tags."     

4.  Select the tag you want to un-assign them from.

5.  Click the "Remove X People" button to remove the selected people from the tag.

Bulk Tagging in Legacy People (Using Advanced Search)

If you are using the Legacy People interface:

  1. Click "Assign to Tags" (or "Remove from Tags") on the right in the action panel.
  2. Select/Deselect the tags, and Click "Assign" or "Remove".

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • How do I ensure I'm only tagging a specific group (e.g., all females over 30)? Use the filters in the People section (e.g., Gender: Female, Age: greater than 30) before selecting the list and clicking "Assign to Tags."
  • Where do I find "More Actions"? The "More Actions" button appears in the Action Panel alongside "Assign to Tags" and is used to access the "Remove from Tags" function.
  • Can I apply the same tag to a person more than once? No. The bulk assign process simply applies the tag; it does not create duplicates or assign the tag multiple times.
