Updating Photos at Check-In

Summary: This guide walks you through enabling the "Enable Thumbnail Picture Updating" setting in Events and using the Check-In page to quickly update individual profile photos, leveraging your device's camera or a desktop file selection (which bypasses the cropping step).

Before You Begin

  • The ability to update photos must be enabled in the Event Settings.
  • Mobile Devices: You must use the browser on your mobile device for the camera option to appear. (The Tithely App only allows uploading a previously-taken photo).
  • Smaller Mobile Screens: Flip the device to landscape/horizontal orientation to ensure the photo thumbnails are visible.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Why does my desktop upload bypass cropping? When uploading from a desktop or laptop, the system recognizes a file selection and applies the standard size/ratio automatically, bypassing the manual cropping step to save time.
  • Why can't I access my camera using the Tithely App? The Tithely App only allows you to upload a previously-taken photo. You must use the browser on your mobile device for the camera option to appear and take a new picture.
  • The photo thumbnail is hidden on my phone: Flip the device to landscape/horizontal orientation to show the thumbnails on smaller screens.
