Before You Begin
- You must have the necessary permissions to access Church Management Settings and Events.
- Crucial Note: Once a message reaches 'Sent' status or is marked as pending, it can no longer be edited.
Step-by-Step Instructions
To Edit Scheduled Texts
- Navigate to Church Management Settings
on the top right.
- Select User Settings from the right side.
- Click Text on the left-hand side of History.
- Click on a scheduled text to view its details. [The details screen allows you to Unschedule/Remove the message if desired.]
To Edit Scheduled Emails
- Click Church Management Settings
on the top right.
- Click User Settings in the dropdown menu.
- On the left-hand side, choose Email under History.
- Select the Email you would like to view/edit/delete and click on the subject to bring up the email.
- Click the arrow next to Change Time.
- Select your desired option: Change Time, Send Now, Edit Content, or Unschedule & Remove.
To Change the Day Volunteers are Sent a Reminder
- Navigate to Events and select the event on your calendar.
- Select Volunteers.
- Click Volunteers will receive 1 reminder (or similar text) under one of the roles in your event.
- Click the edit icon
to edit the timing of the message.
- Change it to a different amount of days prior to your event.
- When saving, ensure you choose to simply change for this event only.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
- Can I delete a text without viewing the details? You must click on the text to view its details screen, where the option to Unschedule/Remove the message is provided.
- If I change the time for one reminder, does it change all volunteers? It changes the timing for all volunteer roles set to receive a reminder on that specific day for that event only (if you select the "change for this event only" option).
- I need to send the scheduled message immediately: For emails, Select Send Now from the options next to Change Time (Step 6 in Email section).
