The 3-Stage Process: Think of this task in three steps:
Add User: Grant the person login access (Admin Users).
Create Profile: Ensure they have a record in your People database.
Map Profile: Link the login (Step 1) to the record (Step 2).
Unique Emails: Every user in Tithely must have a unique email address. You cannot assign the same email address to multiple users.
Scope: General user management (adding/removing admins) is handled in Global Settings > My Organization > Users. This specific guide focuses on linking those users to profiles.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Stage 1: Add the User (If not already added)
First, ensure the person has a user account to log in with.
Click the Global Settings icon (gear/person) in the top-right corner.
Select My Organization.
Select Users (or Admin Users) to add the new user with their appropriate permissions.
Stage 2: Create a People Profile (If not already created)
Second, ensure the person has a data record in your church management system.
Select People from the main menu.
Click the blue Add Person button on the right.
Enter their details and save the profile.
Stage 3: Map the User to the Profile
Finally, connect the login account to the data profile.
Click the Global Settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner.
Select ChMS Settings (or Church Management Roles depending on your menu view).
Locate the User you want to map in the list.
Click the Edit Pencil icon on the right side of their row.
Search for the person's name in the "Link Profile" window that appears.
Select the correct profile from the dropdown list.
Click Link Profile to save the connection.

Why do I need to map a profile? Mapping allows the system to recognize that "John Doe the Admin" is the same person as "John Doe the Member." This is crucial for features like check-in, event registration, and serving, so the system knows who is performing the action.
How do I remove a link? Follow the steps in Stage 3. When you click the Edit Pencil, you will see an option to remove the existing linked profile.
Can I link one profile to two users? No. Tithely requires a 1:1 relationship between a User Login and a People Profile.
