Summary: This guide provides step-by-step instructions for creating a custom loading screen that reflects your church's branding. You will learn how to use our design template, follow safe-zone guidelines, and export your file for submission.
Before You Begin
Download the Template: You will need the Loading Screen Photoshop Template to ensure your design fits perfectly.
File Requirements: Your final file must be a .JPEG with a resolution of 1827x2436 exported at the highest quality.
Tools: You can use Adobe Photoshop or the free web-based tool, Photopea.com.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Download the Loading Screen Template to your computer.
-
Open the template in your design software.
Photoshop: Open the file directly.
Photopea (Free): Go to Photopea.com, click File > Open, and select the template you just downloaded.
-
Design your screen following the Safe Zone Guidelines.
Vertical Lines: Keep your logo strictly between the vertical lines provided in the template.
Sizing: We recommend using only 60% of the width between those vertical lines for the best visual result. Do not fill the entire space.
Tip: Refer to the sample logo and text in the template for spacing and positioning.
-
Export your design as a .JPEG.
In Photopea or Photoshop, navigate to File > Export > JPG.
Ensure the quality is set to 100% (Highest Quality).
Confirm the resolution is exactly 1827x2436.
Submit your custom loading screen via the App Developer Form.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
What if I don't have Adobe Photoshop? You can use Photopea.com, a free web-based editing tool that works very similarly to Photoshop. Follow the specific Photopea instructions in step 2 above to open our template and create your design.
Why does my logo need to be between the lines? The vertical lines on the template indicate the "safe zone." Because phone screens vary in size and aspect ratio, anything placed outside these lines risks being cut off on certain devices.
Can I use a PNG file? No. The app system specifically requires a .JPEG file format. Please ensure you export your final design as a JPG before submitting.
