How to Create and Edit App Pages

Summary: This guide explains how to create custom "App Pages" to display written content, images, videos, maps, and buttons within your app. You will learn how to use the drag-and-drop builder, customize layouts, and publish these pages to your app menu.

Before You Begin

  • Permissions: You must be an Admin to access the App Dashboard.

  • Internal Fields: The "Page Image" and "Description" fields in the settings are for your internal organization only; they are not visible to app users.

  • Description Limit: The internal description field has a character limit of 1024.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Tithely App Dashboard and click New App Page.

  2. Enter the basic page details.

    • Page Name: The title of the page.

    • Date & Keywords: (Optional) Metadata for the page.

    • Page Image & Description: (Optional) Internal identifiers for the dashboard view only.

  3. Customize the layout using the drag-and-drop builder.

    • Drag layout elements (text blocks, image blocks, etc.) from the menu on the right side of the screen onto your page canvas.

    • Click directly on text to edit it. A floating toolbar will appear on the left to adjust font, size, and color.

  4. Manage your images and links using the colored buttons on image blocks:

    • Blue Button: Click to upload an image.

    • Orange Button: Click to insert a link (to text or image) or change the image dimensions.

  1. Select your Active Status from the dropdown menu:

    • Draft: Saves the page but does not publish it. (Found later at the bottom of the Tabs page).

    • Published: Adds the page to the Tabs list as a "Hidden" tab (can be added to the menu later).

    • Published and Add to More Menu: Instantly publishes the page and adds it to your app's "More" menu.

  2. Click Save to finish creating your page.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • What do the Blue and Orange buttons on the images do? When editing an image block, the Blue button allows you to upload a new image file. The Orange button allows you to edit the image's dimensions or add a clickable link to it.

  • Why can't I see the "Page Image" in the app? The "Page Image" and "Description" fields are strictly for your internal use within the Admin Dashboard. They help you identify the page in your list but do not appear to the public user.

  • I saved my page as a Draft. Where did it go? Draft pages are not live in the app. To find them, navigate to the Tabs page in your dashboard and scroll to the very bottom. You will find a section for tabs that have not yet been published.
