Summary: This guide explains how to create photo albums and upload images to the Photos section of your church app. Sharing photos is a great way to recap events and keep your community engaged with visual content.
Before You Begin
Permissions: You must be an Admin to access the App Dashboard.
Albums Required: Photos must be added to an Album; they cannot be uploaded as standalone images.
File Recommendations:
File Types: JPG, JPEG, or PNG are recommended.
File Size: Images should generally be under 1MB for optimal app performance.
Dimensions: App images are responsive. Using generic images that look good cropped is safer than text-heavy graphics that might get cut off on different screen sizes.

Click on Photos in the app menu.
Click the 'New Album' button.
Enter the album details:
Title: The name of your photo collection (e.g., "VBS 2025").
Date: Select the event date. We recommend leaving "Same Newsfeed Date/Time" selected to keep it synchronized.
Description: A brief summary of what the photos are about.
Click Next to proceed to the upload screen.
Upload your images.
Click 'Add Images' to open the file picker.
Select the photos from your computer and click Open.
Alternatively: You can often drag and drop images directly into the upload area.
7. Click the Blue Upload Button (often an arrow or cloud icon) to finalize the upload.
Note: If you need to remove an image before uploading, click the Red discard option.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Why can't I just upload a single photo without an album? The app is designed to organize photos into collections. Even if you only have one photo to share, it must be housed within an Album container to display correctly in the Photos feed.
My photos are taking a long time to upload. Check your file sizes. If your images are very large (e.g., over 5MB), they will take longer to upload and load for your users. We recommend resizing them to under 1MB before uploading.
Can I rearrange the photos in an album? Yes. After creating the album, you can click 'View Album' and use the Sort option to rearrange the order of your images.
