Tithely People: Viewing Your History

The History feature in Tithely People is a powerful tool that allows you to look back at your specific actions within the platform. Easily accessible under Account Settings, it offers a personalized overview of the profiles, tags, events, emails, and text messages you have interacted with.

This feature is designed to help you quickly find past activities, ensuring a seamless way to monitor your engagement and communication efforts. From visiting member profiles to reviewing your email and text outreach, everything you need is just a few clicks away.

How to Access History

  1. Navigate to Account Settings (the gear icon) on the top right.

  2. Click History in the dropdown menu.

  3. On the left-hand side, choose the User History option you would like to view.

Important Notes on Viewing History

  • User Specific: The history is specific to your account. You will not see the history of any other user. For instance, emails and texts sent by another user (or by Tithely People on your behalf via automation) will not appear here.

  • Permissions: You will be able to view recent People profiles you have visited, as well as tags, events viewed, emails sent, and texts sent.

  • Dashboard Connection: The first three sections (People, Tags, Events) are a more extensive version of what you see on your main account dashboard.

People History

View which profiles you have visited and when. This is particularly helpful if you are trying to remember the name of a new individual and know you looked at their profile recently.

  • The People History page will show the last 50 profiles that you have viewed.

  • Each view of the same profile counts as a separate instance.

Tags History

View which tags you have visited and the date you visited them.

Events History

See which events you were recently viewing and the date the event occurred.

Email History

Email History allows you to audit every email sent from your user account.

What you will see:

  • Recipient: The individual or group of recipients (including the total count).

  • Subject: The subject line to provide context.

  • Status: Sent, Scheduled, or Failed.

  • Date: The date the email was sent.

You can sort by a date range or search for emails sent to a specific person.

Understanding Email Statuses

  • Sent: The message was successfully sent to at least one recipient.

  • Scheduled: You have scheduled an email to go out at a later time/date.

  • Failed: No one on your list received the email.

    • Note: If emails failed, please check our help articles regarding emails bouncing or being sent to spam.

Deliverability Reports

If you click on any email line, you will see a deliverability report with a breakdown of who received the email, who opened it, and who it failed to send to.

  • Open Rate: Indicates the recipient opened the email in their provider.

  • Click Rate: Indicates the recipient clicked a link inside the email (differentiating active engagement from a simple open).

Note on Mail Merge: When viewing your history, it is normal to see merge fields (e.g., [FIRSTNAME]) instead of the recipient's name. Tithely People automatically fills in the correct name in the version the recipient sees.

Emails in your History cannot be hidden or removed. Your Email History is user-specific, meaning you will only see emails that you personally sent.

Text History

Check a history of every text message sent from your user account.

What you will see:

  • Recipient: The individual or group of recipients (including the total count).

  • Content: The body of the text message.

  • Status: Delivered, Scheduled, or Failed.

  • Date: The date the text was sent.

Understanding Text Statuses

  • Delivered: The message was successfully sent to one or all people.

  • Scheduled: You have scheduled a text to go out at a later time/date.

  • Failed: The message failed for everyone.

  • Delivered | Failed: A certain number of people received the text, while others did not.

Deliverability Report: Click on any text line to see a breakdown of who received the text, who it failed to send to, and the reason for the failure.

Role Permissions & History Retention

A change in Role Permissions does not change your history. Your past activity will still appear. It will continue to display the history accumulated under a previous role because History is User-dependent, not Role/Permissions-dependent.
