Summary: This guide walks you through the settings you can adjust for the 'Plan Your Visit' feature. Properly configuring these options will enhance the visitor experience and streamline your administrative process.
Before You Begin
- You must be logged in to your Tithely account with administrative permissions for Sites.
- For these settings to be effective, you should have already created at least one service and location.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Navigate to your main dashboard and click on Sites in the primary navigation menu.
- Select Plan Your Visit from the left-hand navigation menu to open the settings panel.
-
Manage Services and Locations:
- Use the Services tab to add or edit the specific service times visitors can register for. To add a service, see Adding Services to Plan Your Visit in Sites.
- Use the Locations tab to add or manage the physical locations or campuses available for visits. To add a location, see Add a Location for Plan Your Visit.
-
Configure Display Options:
- Click on the Display tab.
- Check the boxes to choose where the "Plan Your Visit" button appears on your site (e.g., Topbar, Bottom Left Button, Main Menu).
- Enable the Exit Pop-up to prompt users before they leave the page.
- Customize the Thank You Pop-up text that visitors see after submitting their plan. This message is also sent in their confirmation email.
-
Set Up Admin Notifications:
- Click on the Notifications tab.
- Enter the email addresses of staff who should be notified when a new visit is planned. Separate multiple emails with a comma (e.g., pastor@yourchurch.com)
Troubleshooting & FAQs
- Our staff is not receiving notification emails. What should we do? First, please ask them to check their spam or junk mail folders. Second, double-check the email addresses entered in the Notifications tab for any typos and ensure they are separated only by commas.
- I've enabled a display button, but it's not showing up on my live site. After saving your changes, you may need to clear your website's cache or your browser's cache. It can sometimes take a few minutes for settings to become visible on the public site.
