Adding Profile Pictures to People

Summary: This guide walks you through the simple steps to upload and manage individual and family photos in People, detailing the necessary image formats, file size limits, and resolution best practices to ensure a visually appealing and organized church directory across all devices.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • My profile photo is showing as a black square:
    • Check File Format: Ensure the format is JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, or BMP.
    • Check Image Size: Resize the image to a maximum of 300x200 pixels (or a 3x2 ratio).
  • Why do my images look fuzzy on my high-definition phone? People downscales all profile pictures to 300x200 resolution to optimize performance and load times. To retain original quality, store the images in cloud storage (Dropbox, Google Drive).
  • What if my photo is in portrait mode? People will automatically include a black border around the photo to fit the required 3x2 ratio.
  • What color profile should I use? Web images should be saved with the RGB color profile; CMYK will not render accurately online.
