Before You Begin
- The export function downloads your data into Microsoft Excel files (CSV).
- Note: Event information and contribution data are not included in this People export. You must export those separately.
- Tithely Tip: Check your browser's pop-up blocker settings before exporting to ensure the download is not blocked.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Standard and Customized Export
1. Pull up the list of people you'd like to export (use an advanced search, search by tag, or another method).
2. On the right, click "Export."
3. Select "Excel" from the dropdown list.
4. To Download Standard/Preset: Click "Download."
5. To Customize:
* Click the pencil icon in the lower left corner of the window.
* Select "Custom" from the dropdown list and check the fields you'd like included.
* Click "Download."
Customizing and Saving Presets
1. Select "Custom" from the dropdown list and check the fields you'd like included.
2. Beneath the "Specify Fields" label, click "Save as Preset."
3. Provide a name for your preset. [This preset is available only to you and cannot be seen by other users.]
Deleting a Customization
1. Select the "People" tab $\rightarrow$ "Export" "Excel."
2. Click the pencil icon.
3. Select the preset you'd like to delete from the dropdown list.
4. Click the trash can icon just to the right of the dropdown list. [Note: Default presets cannot be deleted.]
Troubleshooting & FAQs
- What happens when I select "Grouping by Family"? It will pull in all family members of those who match the initial search results. Individuals who did not match the initial filters will be brought in because they are related to someone who did.
- Why did my download not start? Check your browser's pop-up blocker settings and disable them for the Tithely site. Pop-up blockers often prevent the export file from downloading.
- Can other admins use the custom export I saved? No, saved customizations are available only to the user who saved them and cannot be seen by other users from the same church.
