How to Use the Apps Dashboard: Activity Feed & Quick Actions

Before You Begin

  • Permissions: You must be logged in as an Apps Admin to access the dashboard and send notifications.

  • Immediate Sending: Notifications sent via the "Quick Actions" sidebar are sent immediately to all users. You cannot schedule them or target specific groups from this screen.

  • Activity Scope: The Activity Feed displays recent actions including Prayer Requests, Events, Social Posts, Livestreams, and more.


Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Monitoring the Activity Feed

Your Activity Feed is the central hub for seeing what is happening in your app in real-time.

  1. Log in to Tithely and select Apps from the main menu.

  2. Click on Dashboard.

  3. Review the Activity Feed in the center of the screen.

    • This feed displays recent updates such as:

      • Prayer Wall Requests & Comments

      • Sent Notifications

      • Upcoming Events

      • New Podcasts, Videos, or Blogs

      • Livestream/Sermon updates

2. Sending a Quick Push Notification

Use this tool when you need to send a message to everyone right now.

  1. Navigate to the Quick Actions sidebar on the right side of the Dashboard.

  2. Click the Create New Notification button.

  3. Enter a Title for your message.

  4. Enter the Message body content.

  5. Click Send Notification.

    • Note: This action sends the message instantly. To schedule a message for later, please use the full Notifications tool.


Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Can I schedule a notification from the Quick Actions menu? No. The Quick Actions tool is designed for immediate sending only. To schedule a message or filter by specific groups, you must navigate to the dedicated Notifications tab in the left-hand menu.

  • Who receives the Quick Action notification? By default, notifications sent from the Quick Actions panel are sent to all devices that have your app installed and notifications enabled.

  • What else can I do in Quick Actions? Depending on your app's configuration, you may also see options to quickly publish items like Prayer Requests or access other frequent tasks directly from this sidebar.
