Before You Begin
- Only the current Account Owner (formerly "Primary Admin") can perform this change.
- The desired new account owner must already be added as a User in the system.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Log into Tithely as the current Account Owner.
2. Select the Global Settings icon at the bottom left corner. [Note: You may need to navigate to a 2.0 space if you don't see this icon.]
3. Select My Organization.
4. Select Users.
5. Select the Gear Icon next to the user you would like to make the Account Owner.
6. Select the option to Switch to Account Owner.
7. Review the pop-up explaining the change and Click Continue.
8. Add a new billing method that will be charged moving forward.
9. Confirm the Account Owner changes. [The new owner receives an email confirming the change.]
Troubleshooting & FAQs
- What if I don't have access to the current Account Owner? To ensure account security, you must reach out to our Priority Team at priority@tithe.ly so they can authenticate your request.
- Do I need to update the Legal Representative? You can update the Legal Representative during the process (optional). Note that this only updates the representative for the oldest location you created in Tithely.
- We use a Church App. Will it be affected? Your accounts may need to be reconnected after the change. If you experience issues accessing products or the Church App, contact our support team.
- Why do I need a new billing method if we don't pay for anything? Adding a billing method is necessary even if the new account has no active, paid subscriptions for security and account integrity.
